Good sleep rarely calls for one intervention. Improving your sleep health requires you to follow good sleep hygiene habits consistently. Some of the most effective strategies include:
Maintain a consistent bedtime and wake time, even on weekends.
Keep the bedroom cool, dark, and quiet.
Limit screen time for at least 30 minutes before bed.
Avoid large meals and alcohol close to bedtime.
Limit caffeine later in the day.
Exercise regularly, while avoiding vigorous exercise immediately before bed.
Small improvements performed consistently often produce more durable benefits than dramatic short-term changes.
