what we measure

The Four Horsemen of chronic disease

These four disease categories account for the majority of preventable illness and premature death, yet they often develop silently for years.

Nº1

Heart diseases is the #1 cause of death, with someone experience a heart attack every 40 seconds in the U.S.

Heart Disease

Heart attacks and strokes lead globally. Our advanced imaging detects arterial disease early, before symptoms or standard tests.

71%

An estimated 71% of cancer deaths in the U.S. are from cancers not covered by current screening guidelines.

Cancer Risk

Many cancers grow silently for years. We use deep diagnostics to uncover risk early, when intervention can be most effective.

1 in 3

Over 1 in 3 U.S. adults—about 98 million people—have prediabetes, and nearly 80% are unaware of it.

Metabolic Dysfunction

Metabolic health shapes energy and lifespan. We assess insulin resistance, body composition, and key drivers of chronic disease.

42%

Researchers estimate that 42% of Americans over the age of 55 will eventually develop dementia.

Neurodegenerative Disease

Cognitive decline can begin decades early. Our assessments detect early signals and guide strategies to protect brain function.

How is Biograph different from a regular doctor or a concierge medical practice?

Biograph doesn’t replace your primary care physician (PCP). Instead, it complements traditional healthcare by focusing on advanced diagnostics and prevention. While your PCP and/or concierge doctor manages your general health, Biograph provides a comprehensive, data-driven evaluation that detects risks before symptoms appear.

After your assessment, our medical team synthesizes all of your test results into an easy-to-understand report that highlights your most important health risks and actionable recommendations to address them.

You’ll review your results one-on-one with a Biograph physician, ensuring you fully understand your health insights and next steps. Additionally, you will have consultations with a Registered Dietitian and Exercise Physiologist to provide personalized guidance on optimizing your long-term health. You can share your report with your doctor, allowing them to integrate Biograph’s insights into your broader care plan.

I feel healthy and get regular checkups. What additional insights can Biograph provide?

Many serious health conditions develop silently, without noticeable symptoms. Cardiovascular disease, cancer, neurodegenerative disease, and metabolic dysfunction often progress for years before becoming clinically evident. Routine checkups typically include basic blood work and physical exams, which do not provide the level of detail necessary to detect many early-stage health risks.

Biograph’s advanced testing can identify potential concerns long before symptoms appear, allowing you to take proactive steps to safeguard your health. Many Biograph members have discovered important or even urgent health findings despite feeling completely fine at the time of their evaluation.

If my results show something concerning, what happens next?

If any concerning findings are detected, one of Biograph’s doctors will reach out to you right away and provide a clear and detailed explanation of your results.

Our team will guide you through the next steps, ensuring that you understand the severity of the findings and your options for further evaluation or treatment. We also facilitate referrals to top specialists, both locally and internationally, and provide ongoing support to help you navigate the next phase of your health journey.

What’s the right age to do Biograph? Am I too young or too old?

Biograph is designed for individuals at all life stages. Younger members benefit from establishing a baseline for long-term health and detecting early warning signs of potential risk factors. Middle-aged members gain valuable insights into emerging health risks, allowing them to take targeted action before issues become more difficult to manage.

Older members use Biograph to refine their approach to aging well, optimizing metabolic, cardiovascular, and neurological health to maintain the highest possible quality of life. There is no single "right" age to start, but the earlier you begin, the more opportunity you have to take control of your long-term health.

Who leads Biograph's medical team?

Biograph’s medical team is led by Dr. Michael Doney, Executive Medical Director, along with Dr. Gilberto Hernandez, Medical Director of the San Mateo clinic, and Dr. Jim Lebret, Medical Director of the New York City clinic.
